An entrepreneur based in Florida, Bill Oliver created the Bodacious Beach Blanket in response to his own personal experience on windy beaches. He received a patent for the waterproof blanket, which includes weighted corner pockets to hold it in place as well as pockets for important items such as keys and wallets, and enough cushion to soften any hard places in the sand beneath. After beginning manufacture of the Bodacious Beach Blanket, Bill Oliver traveled across Florida to beaches around the world and appeared on ABC's Good Morning America to promote his product.
Mr. Oliver also spent many years in the medical industry. He worked with companies such as Spinal Solutions and RX To YouPharmacy, as well as owning the Satori Medical Group. Prior to coming to Florida, he worked in Charleston, South Carolina, with Vicran IGF Pharmaceuticals.
While in South Carolina, Mr. Oliver also spent time in sales with Piedmont Airlines and in mechanical repair of HVAC systems with Advance Mechanical. He originally launched his career as a first line firefighter with the Columbia Fire Department.
