When I was 4 years old, I hopped on a plane and traveled 3500 km to the island of Saipan. During a layover in Guam, I requested to call my mother so I could report that I was safe and share the beautiful view with her. That was my first act of bravery.
Fast forward to 17 years old, after studying abroad in Vancouver, BC, I hopped onto a few more planes and headed over to Thailand, Japan, Korea, China, Hong Kong, Hawaii, and Denver. Exploring each new city was like unlocking a map to conquer a new quest, each new language learned was like obtaining a new weapon that would better prepare me for battle.
The bravery did not stop after age 4, each day I continue to aim higher and am not afraid to ask questions. Extensive international traveling has trained me to read beyond words and has gifted me the skill of creative problem-solving. As a Communications Specialist, I help convey messages, by translating what may seem like a foreign language to English, I transform what may seem like a dull subject and spark new interest.
I'm well-versed in social media, communications, planning and development, public relations, content creation, project management, and operations.
I'm also fluent in Cantonese, Mandarin, Japanese and know basic Spanish and Korean.
