An assistant project manager with The Walsh Group, one of the Top 15 largest construction companies in the United States, Bashir Abubakar Audu laid the foundation for his professional success by studying civil engineering at Purdue University in West Lafayette, Indiana. After earning his bachelor of science from Purdue, he found employment as a project controls engineer with IEA Renewable Energy. Bashir Abubakar Audu’s duties with IEA involved assisting project managers with the effective construction of several large turbine-based wind farms – among which are the Osage Wind Farm in Oklahoma and the Green Pastures Wind Farm in Texas.
In his current position with the Walsh Group, Bashir Audu provides engineering and cost management analyses for a $1.1 billion, three-year, bridge project on Interstate-35E. On a monthly basis, he also handles the preparation of revenue and Profits and Loss documentation and duties such as negotiating and drafting multimillion-dollar subcontractor agreements. Mr. Audu also coordinates engineering design activities between the Walsh Group’s in-house construction team and various Fortune 500 design partners.
