A power generation professional, with 25+ years experience in power plant installation, commissioning and decommissioning, operation and maintenance and previously worked for Black & Veatch at 105MW Kabul Power Plant in Afghanistan, KBR Inc in Iraq, and Kenya Power Company in Kenya. Was trained in Kenya and at BWSC and MAN Diesel & Turbo in Holeby, Denmark. With hands on skills on major brands like Caterpillar, Olympian, Cummins, Aksa, FG Wilson, Marapco, Onis Visa, Kohler, Triton, Volvo, SDMO, Genpower, Terex-Amida, Magnum., MAN and Wartsila gensets, if offered any power plant management position, I will dedicate my expertise and focus on the bigger picture of the business profitability.
• Planned, budgeted, scheduled and executed all operation and maintenance work in the stations. • Provide technical expertise and training to junior staff. • Managed all aspects of Administration, HR including staff welfare duties in the plant. • Supervised major overhauls, services and maintenance of Caterpillar, Cummins, Wartsila and MAN B&W gen-sets. • Diagnosed gensets mechanical and electrical faults for prompt corrective action to be taken as per OEM. • Supervised erection, installation and commissioning of gensets and all electro-mechanical equipment. • Coordinated with procurement division for on time delivery of spare parts, coolant, fuel and lubricants. • Prepared and transmitted daily plant and monthly generation reports. • Maintained genset service records including regular update of inventory of other assets. • Performed liaison duties between company and Government in Garissa and Lamu towns. • Collected wind data for proposed wind power parks in Lamu and Garissa.
