I am a graduate of the University of Georgia as of May 2012. I graduated Magna Cum Laude from the Henry W. Grady College of Journalism and Mass Communication with a degree in Public Relations. I also participated in the UGA Music Business Program in the Terry College of Business and received a minor in Religion.
I am a classically trained violinist and an Athens, GA based singer/songwriter. Music is a passion of mine, and I hope to pursue entertainment promotions and PR as I seek employment. For a Public Relations Research class, I monitored all U.S. Navy tweets and Facebook posts to do determine the success of different types of content and links with the Navy's audiences. I also kept documentation of comments to gauge the target audience's involvement with Navy content. The attached document is a report with my social media recommendations based on my findings.
For my class in PR Writing and Communication, I worked with a client to create example documents for their organization. The result was an 80-page compilation of PR materials gathered from information that my client gave me. I worked with Bigger Vision Homeless Shelter in Athens, GA. The suggestions were not implemented but were written based on personal interaction with the organization. The attached document is a sample from my 80-page plan.
