Over the course of his career, South Central Steel (SCS) executive Andy Schroeder has combined a keen business acumen and a knowledge of construction processes to drive corporate growth. He became president of SCS in 2012, having previously served as the company's vice president for two years. In this role, Andy Schroeder drove 90 percent of company business and oversaw operational processes for the company's larger projects.
Mr. Schroeder took on this position following service as project development manager for Capstone Development and Direct Development. There, he oversaw the completion of a number of properties in the Nashville, Tennessee, and Milwaukee, Wisconsin, markets. Responsible for securing and overseeing project funding, he also facilitated communications among teams and oversaw the keeping of comprehensive project records.
Andy Schroeder joined Capstone Development as a recruit in 2005, having previously served as assistant office manager and regional sales manager with BE&K Engineering's Birmingham, Alabama, office. There, he facilitated growth that resulted in a 200 percent increase in the office's overall size. He comes to his this diverse experience base with a bachelor of science in finance and undergrad studies in engineering at Virginia Tech.
