Assisting new and established health care businesses, Launch Advisory Team advisor Andrew Tymkiw builds upon a quarter-century of experience in the life sciences. He formerly spent seven years as vice president of global operations for Edwards Lifesciences, overseeing rapid international growth in sectors such as transcatheter heart valves. Other initiatives guided by Andrew Tymkiw at Edwards centered on establishing plant operations and transforming management culture through innovation and sensitivity to patient needs.
From 1997 to 2009, Andrew Tymkiw held a series of senior administrative positions with Mentor Corp, a surgical products company that caters specifically to plastic surgeons. His accomplishments with Mentor included establishing a successful merger/divestiture with Johnson & Johnson’s Ethicon division and building out a $100M neurotoxin manufacturing facility in Madison, Wisconsin.
Outside of the professional environment, Mr. Tymkiw is an avid sailor, skier, and distance bicycler. He also stands out as a member of the Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association who has held a private pilot license for more than 30 years.
