  • Mission in ITER Project (International Thermonuclear Experimental Reactor) to support the HNB section (Heating Neutral Beam) as task leader of two components; PMS (Passive Magnetic Shield) and ACCC (Active Correction/Compensation Coils), the main activities during this mission are:

•Writing technical documentations according to ITER guidelines, primarily load specifications and development requirement documents

•Overseeing the mechanical and electromagnetic design performed by CIEMAT through live meetings each two weeks or by intermediate design review missions held at CIEMAT and IO

•Checking the integration of these components in the ITER tokamak complex and checking the interfaces with the others PBS such as building, cooling, power supply and remote handling maintenance

•Reviewing the design reports and the analysis reports; checking the CAD model and drawings to ensure the quality of the deliverables to ITER

•Coordinate the ITER design needs and CIEMAT design

•Ensuring the compliance of the design with the relevant international codes and standards that the components have to follow : ASME VIII, RCC-MR, ESP

•Following up designers for the CAD model and the 2D models to design an opening mechanism of a very heavy shielded door (55tons). Performing all the analysis needed according to the RCC-MR code for likely or unlikely events

•Defining the piping parameters by calculating the pressure drops, the pipes diameters and booster pumps

  • Mission in ITER Project (International Thermonuclear Experimental Reactor) as mechanical designer, the main activities during this mission were:

•Studding and designing different components of the HNB injector, different tools for sequence assembly and different tools for remote handling

•Simulating the sequence assembly of the remote handling

•Designing the cooling water and the power supply pipes of the internal components

•Defining the methodologies for CAD quality

•Following up studies performed by some designers including writing and reporting the progress report to the neutral beam section

  • Mission in Ratier Figeac (Hamilton Sundstrand group) for the A400M Program as mechanical designer, the main activities during this mission were:

•Designing the THSA (Trimmable Horizontal Stabilizer Actuator) gearbox, the gear lines, the differential and the housing

    •Defining the skeleton driving the 3D mock-up

•Checking the integration of the 3D components received from subcontractors

•Calculating the chains dimensions in normal and extreme conditions

•Generating details drawing, assembly drawing and bill of material

•Simulating sequence assembly of the THSA using Delmia v5

•Designing manufacturing tools for machining different aeronautic parts
