Recognized by the International Association of HealthCare Professionals as a Leading Physician of the World in 2017, Dr. Amy Bishop has nearly 25 years of experience as an optometrist. Since 1994, she has owned Family Eye Care in Childress, Texas, where she provides 24/7 emergency eye care and postoperative care for cataract and LASIK procedures. As an optometrist skilled in managing a number of eye conditions, Dr. Amy Bishop provides treatment for glaucoma, dry eyes, and pediatric eye conditions, as well.
In addition to her practice in Childress, she treats patients at TSO Bishop Arts, a 50-year-old practice she purchased in 2017. At this practice, she performs comprehensive eye examinations and co-manages cataract, glaucoma and LASIK/PRK surgery, in addition to consulting patients on corrective eyewear.
She holds a doctor of optometry from the University of Houston College of Optometry. Outside of work, she maintains an interest in Texas longhorn and horse breeding and holds membership in the Longhorn Breeders Association and the American Quarter Horse Association.
