Since cofounding Houston's RAK Equity Partners, Amir Mortazavi has served as an operating partner and/or investor in many of the companies in the comprehensive portfolio, spanning industries that range from energy and healthcare to computer technology and logistics. In addition to his core responsibilities with RAK, Amir Mortazavi serves as Chairman & CEO for multiple healthcare service companies. He also sits on the board of directors of the Austin-based trucking technology platform Ruckit Inc, and the advisory board of the investment firm ZT Corporate of Houston.
Outside of the professional arena, Amir Mortazavi spearheads fundraising activities for the youth nonprofit Lemonade Day. Through a range of hands-on programs, Lemonade Day helps to train and inspire the business leaders of tomorrow with a concerted emphasis on progressive thinking and social advocacy. Mr. Mortazavi has also lent his support to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation and the Altus Foundation, a Pearland, Texas-based organization that provides financial assistance and care coordination to patients who would otherwise have difficulty obtaining quality health services.
