Amber Parris Lamberth is a therapist who has treated outpatient and residential patients suffering from eating disorders for more than a decade. A graduate of the University of Alabama, she earned her master of science in social work in 2010. She attended Auburn University for her undergraduate social work degree. Today, Amber Parris Lamberth holds certification to treat eating disorders (CEDS) and is a licensed clinical social worker. She is pursuing credentials to become a certified sex addiction specialist (CSAT) through the International Institute of Trauma and Addiction Professionals.

Since 2012, Amber Parris-Lamberth has worked as a primary therapist for Castlewood at The Highlands in Birmingham, Alabama. In this position, she treats patients with all forms of eating disorders. She utilizes treatment methods including prolonged exposure for PTSD, and cognitive behavioral therapy.

In May 2018, she was featured on the podcast “PHIT for a Queen: A Female Athlete Podcast” to discuss the prevalence of body image issues among girls and women. She also provided insight on how women can learn to accept their bodies in healthy ways.
