Holding an MBA from Pepperdine University, Alice Zhang has also completed the core classes of the early childhood education program at Foothill College in Sunnyvale, California. Since 2017, Alice Zhang has used the training she received in Sunnyvale in her current role as an early childhood instructor at the OFJCC Leslie Family Preschool in Palo Alto.
In her work, Ms. Zhang employs the Reggio Emilia teaching approach that emphasizes experiential education through expression. She is also a member of the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC) and has attended various training conferences in recent years to learn more about the constantly evolving field of early childhood education.
Before becoming a teacher, Ms. Zhang spent more than a decade in the accounting field and worked for a number of international companies. She was employed at Shanghai Union Business Consultants as a project manager, and she later served as a financial accountant at a loan company in Los Angeles, where she managed operations of the accounting/finance division.
