About Me
If I were asked to underline only one thing from my professional profile I would choose my ability to create a great vision of how things could be, and then communicate that vision and motivate others through it.

Restless, hard-worker and committed by nature, together with my vision-making skill, made me an entrepreneur, product leader or change maker, depending on which context.

I grew with my hands on technology and then, taking my studies as MSc. Telecom Engineer I made it my profession.

At the beginning it was only about technology management. Then my curiosity to know drove me towards comprehension of all that complexity involving technology innovations and the organizational dynamics that block them.

Passionate about people, I went deeper into competences and behaviours trying to see how people determine the ability to create value (and business) through technology in companies of the knowledge economy.

After almost 15 years of professional career in more than 5 sectors (banking, telecom, consumer electronics, aeronautics, automotive, ...) I still have thousands of questions and work everyday to find the answers.

    As Innovation Director, I lead the transformation of EDNON and its current ICT business into a more service-oriented and customer-centric company able to continuously generate value for its customers and competitive advantages through product and service innovation.

    I launched EDNON labs_, an innovation factory where we put together our R&D projects, our innovation projects and our new business efforts in order to align all our investments in knowledge and value to produce a new offering for EDNON based on Cloud Managed Services, Infrastructure Analytics and Industrial IoT Solutions.

    Once I transferred leadership role in CENTUM R&T, I moved into Product Advisor. In this role I contributed to the 2014-2016 Strategic Plan definition, designed new Product Management plan and supported the Product Manager in the definition of the Roadmap and in the management of the Product Committee.

    I also managed seed round fundraising process to support growth in the search and rescue market. I took again some equity in the company.

    I served in this role one year, while restructuring and repurposing the activities of the company. Finally, the company vision was defined to sell payloads and sensor for aerospace communications, which involved moving to a new stage focused on business development and hiring a new CEO.

    We founded iQUBE research to sell Innovation Management and Product Innovation to SMEs in Spain, willing to support their transformation into the knowledge economy.

    Regarding Innovation Management, we selected IGNITE Fast Track as our methodology. Seeing limited success on the market, we split the methodology into several Innovation Pills and blended them with an IMS tool from Brightidea, getting some kind of success on big customers like Meliá, La Caixa, ING Direct, etc.

    On Product Innovation we launched 3 projects to develop technologies for the promising market of UAVs and drones. The latter interest of CENTUM in the results of SensingBTS finally drove to the buyout of the company by CENTUM Global Corporation.

    My first role in CENTUM Global Corporation was Innovation Director and Head of Product in CENTUM Solutions, with the mission to transform the company to continuously generate competitive advantages through product and service innovation. To achieve that mission, I lead the deployment in the company of an adaptation of Cambridge's IGNITE innovation management methodology.

    These objetives were defined in CENTUM's 2009-2011 Strategic Plan, which included the aim to diversify the activity of the company into new service lines for Telco and Aerospace Industries and the launch of a new business line of products for the incipient Unmanned Aircraft Industry (UAS, UAV, RPAS, drones, etc.)

    We went through several innovation challenges, where we generated more than 100 ideas, processed tenths of proposals and launched 5 new product developments and about 10 new services.

    I joined Blusens as R&D Project Leader, to be immediately promoted as CTO and R&D Director reporting to the President. As part of my responsibilities, I designed the R&D Plan in the context of Blusens' 2007-2009 Strategic Plan. This led us to reestructure the whole R&D organization of the company and to build a new R&D lab.

    Starting from scratch, we defined a new connected home product strategy, hired about 20 people, established an open innovation network of local and global technology partners, and opened business with top semiconductor and technology giants.

    Leading Blusens' R&D was an enormous opportunity to manage an incredible team while building some of the most awesome entertainment devices worldwide. We created connected and smart TV devices far before main Consumer Electronics competitors. We blended Consumer and Telco multimedia devices far before OTT was a global trend. And we had in our hands first-in-the-world product launches.

    As R&D Director I was member of the Board of Directors within an exceptional team of professionals.

    My responsibilities involved a wide set of research tasks, from the development of advanced digital electronics based on Freescale micro controllers to Embedded Linux development and integration. Additional responsibilities included presales support and customer demos, strategy reports and new product analysis and design.
