  • Manage the Reservations Department to achieve budgeted targets to include
    room, bed, catering and membership sales.
     Work with Hotel Managers to maximize room and bed sales
    and incremental revenue by monitoring revenue variance,
    identifying areas of concern and implementing an approach to
    maximize revenue
     Set targets and provide direction for the Sales Executive and Trade
    & Yield co- coordinator to proactively develop new and existing
    accounts, with a focus on key group hostels including incentives to
    ensure retention of current groups and partnerships and increased
    revenue.
     Work with Marketing Manager to develop strategic sales and
    promotion plans for bed, room, group, meeting rooms and
    membership sales
     Analyze and provide weekly, monthly and 4 month forecast
    summary updates with recommendations to improve long term
    strategies.
     Contribute in budget preparation for all accommodation, catering,
    meeting room and other income generating areas focusing on year
    on year yield growth in each area.
     Compile and utilize statistical data to set future pricing and
    selling strategies for accommodation, catering and membership
    sales.
     Prepare for and chair monthly revenue meetings with the
    customerservice team and Senior Management team.
     Maximize the use of all distribution channels to ensure book-ability
    andmarket penetration.
     Understand the competitive marketplace through analysis of trends
    anddata and build a strategic approach to manage trends.
     Complete best practice statistical analysis in order to formulate
    effectivefuture pricing and selling strategies for all hostels.
     Manage and test when required in-house reservations systems.
     Ensure Central reservations team receives the appropriate tools and
    training in order for them to deliver required standards of performance
    and the constant delivery of excellent Guest service.
     Recruit, select, and train Reservation Team Members, Trade & Yield co-ordinator and Sales
    Executive as and when required.
