• Over 23 years of working experience worldwide in welding and QA/QC, fabrication and certification documentation. Knowledge and experience gained in oil and gas pipelines and plants, in welding laboratories and technical departments, shops and site, onshore, offshore and subsea, manufacturing of equipment for petrochemical and food industries.
• Resourceful in solving problems and maximizing resources, with a keen attention to detail and quality. Skilled working with people with diverse backgrounds, in offices and site, proven by leading teams of different nationalities in Romania, Nigeria, Russia and Kazakhstan.
• Very good knowledge of major Welding & NDT, piping & structural, related international standards and codes as ASME, ASTM, ANSI, AWS, DNV, API, EEMUA, NORSOK, EN & ISO.
• Extensive working experience with a wide range of materials including C/Mn steels, LTCS, SS, DSS and SDSS, nickel alloys and titanium, and with most common welding processes (manual, semi-/automatic, mechanized): SMAW, GTAW, FCAW, GMAW, SAW and PAW.
• Proficient in the use of computers, sound knowledge of computer programs including MS Office, and several planning, document control and Integrated Production System software, skilled in databases and latest operating systems.
KASHAGAN OFFSHORE EXPERIMENTAL PROJECT – Process Barges 6, 9 & 20, AGIP KCO, reported to Aker Representative Site Manager, monitored and support the successful completion of relevant QC activities in coordinate with Client, subcontractor’s Engineering and Construction on all site issues by: • Visually inspecting work in progress, reviewing welding requirements for erected structures and process plants, and effectively supervised repair procedures, • Liaising with Client on all aspects of welding, heat treatment, hardness testing and NDT, • Assuring thorough documentation of all welding tasks are raised and completed prior to handover, all welding and NDT operations are executed in accordance with all relevant Codes of Practices and Company procedures, • Maintaining daily site diary, handled all welding technical queries and investigating all field welding related problems, use of the correct welding procedures, verified all welder qualifications and monitored both application and performance, • Checking that all welding and testing related records form a complete package and reflect the ‘As-Built’ integrity of the equipment, • Ensuring that all installed pipe/fittings are on the right track and that the material is in accordance with the required material traceability requirements.
