Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada conducted a research project to evaluate the effects of different soil amendments and cover crops on the structure and chemistry of (soil health status), yield, fruit quality, condition plant nutrients, and plant health. This research project was led by Dr. Mehdi Sharifi. The vines studied are located in the Okanogan Valley (Summerland, Ok Falls, West Kelowna, and Oliver BC). This internship took place at Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada's Research and Development Center in Summerland. This is the position of a research assistant. The work consists of performing various tasks related to the implementation of the research project, including the execution of the research project protocol, the collection, compilation and analysis of data, the writing of reports, the maintenance of systems irrigation and carrying out certain horticultural tasks.
As a horticulturist, I was responsible for maintaining trees and shrubs and keeping them healthy and beautiful. I also had to help clients to make good choices and give them advice and solutions for any problems with their plants or the design of their landscaping plan.

Participated in research project on the feasibility of using geothermal energy as a source of energy, heat exchange and dehumidification of greenhouses.
The objective of the project was to cool and dehumidify the climate of the greenhouses, to keep the roofs closed, and to maintain a high carbon dioxide content. I was in charge of monitoring the data acquisition system, the climate control system, quantifying the yields and growth of the plants, and analyzing the behavior of the crop according to the treatments applied.
Lead a group of gardeners to restore the Calgary Zoo green space after a catastrophic flood in the City of Calgary, and initiated and managed the first Mosaïculture Event at the Calgary zoo.
